The hacking group Darkmeta has allegedly carried out DDoS attacks on multiple Emirati websites, including the Zayed International Airport and UAE PASS, the national digital identity system of the United Arab Emirates.

The attack on Zayed International Airport lasted for two hours, causing significant disruption.

UAE PASS, which serves over 8 million Emirati citizens, offers a range of essential services such as identity verification, electronic signatures, single sign-on for various platforms, and secure access to governmental and private sector services. The platform is critical for logging into government services, medical services, and more.

The Darkmeta team claims that their attacks effectively disrupted all the services provided by UAE PASS, targeting domains such as:

ids.gslb.uaepass.ae
id.uaepass.ae
ids.uaepass.ae
apis.uaepass.ae
corporate.gslb.uaepass.ae
apis.gslb.uaepass.ae
www.gslb.uaepass.ae
selfcare.uaepass.ae

api.gslb.uaepass.ae
api.uaepass.ae
id.gslb.uaepass.ae
corporate.uaepass.ae
selfcare.gslb.uaepass.ae

This cyber attack highlights the vulnerability of critical infrastructure and the ongoing threat posed by cybercriminal groups targeting essential digital services. Authorities are expected to investigate the incidents and bolster cybersecurity measures to prevent future attacks.
