IntelBroker has allegedly put the database of Patriot Mobile, an American mobile network operator, up for sale on behalf of a threat actor known as Centre. The threat actor claims that the database was breached in 2022 and contains the personal information of approximately 65,000 users.
The compromised data reportedly includes Account PINs, full names, email addresses, credit scores, physical locations, dates of birth, the last four digits of Social Security Numbers (SSNs), account balances, and enrollment types. The sale of this sensitive information is being conducted exclusively in Monero (XMR), a cryptocurrency known for its privacy features, with offers being accepted for the database.
This alleged breach raises significant concerns about the security of user data within Patriot Mobile’s systems, highlighting the ongoing threats posed by cybercriminals to individuals’ privacy and financial security. The breach, if confirmed, could have serious implications for the affected users, potentially exposing them to identity theft and other forms of cybercrime.
