According to a post on a dark web forum, the official website of the Venezuelan military (ejercito.mil.ve) was breached on July 30.

This breach is alleged to be a response to the actions of the current regime under Nicolas Maduro. The attackers claim that this act was carried out in support of freedom and democracy, standing in solidarity with the Venezuelan people.

According to the allegations, several vulnerabilities were discovered on the website. One of these vulnerabilities was exploited to gain access to the server’s internal database. This database reportedly contains over 1 million records of personal information, including full names, email addresses, home addresses, credentials, and passwords of military and government employees.

The attackers have publicly released this database, labeling it as a move against the “corrupt military of Venezuela.”
