Wilson & Lafleur Data Breach Allegations Surface on Dark Web Forum

Montreal-based publishing house Wilson & Lafleur Ltée is allegedly the latest victim of a substantial data breach, according to claims made by a threat actor on a dark web forum. The post, which surfaced recently, alleges the company, founded in 1909 and employing 19 staff, has had over 21.5 GB of sensitive data stolen and leaked online.

The threat actor posted a detailed message that describes the alleged breach. The data reportedly includes personal information of employees, access to work accounts, email newsletters, licenses, certificates, as well as sensitive data related to suppliers and customers. The leak purportedly contains financial records, accounting data, invoices, and even IP addresses, alongside company projects, sales plans, and archived data dating back to 2011.
