The hacker group NoName057 has claimed responsibility for a series of DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks on various German federal institutions. These attacks are purportedly in protest of Germany’s support for Ukraine amidst the ongoing conflict with Russia.
The targeted websites include:
- German Federal Ministry of Justice
- German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure
- Federal Office of Logistics and Mobility
- German Customs Administration
NoName057 stated that the attacks were carried out to punish Germany for supporting what they referred to as the “criminal regime” of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The group warned that such attacks would continue.
NoName057(16) is a pro-Russian hacker group that is known for its cyberattacks on Ukrainian, American, and European websites of government agencies, media, and private companies.
