Several threat actors operating under various monikers, have allegedly targeted Spanish organizations due to Spain’s NATO membership and the recent arrest of two cybercriminals linked to NoName057(16).
Various private and public organizations have been targeted for several days, and threat actors have announced their new alleged attacks on their Telegram channels. The messages also includes CheckHost reports from the alleged attacks.
According to the messages, the following organizations were targeted:
- Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute M.P., S.A. (INCIBE)
- Barcelona El Prat Josep Tarradellas Airport
- Ibercaja Banco, S.A., a Spanish financial services company
- Authorization on General Dynamics European Land Systems portal.
- CIMSA INGENIERÍA DE SISTEMAS S.A. is a Spanish company specialized in systems engineering.
- International Cooperation Agency
- Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry
- Official online platform of the Tribunal Arbitral de Barcelona (TAB)
- Spain’s Constitutional Court
- Spanish Ministry of Justice
- Bilbao port
- Port of Algeciras
- The Port of Las Palmas
