The personal data of millions of Australian consumers has reportedly been leaked following an alleged cyberattack on Superbazaar, a prominent online grocery platform.
According to a post made on a dark web forum by a threat actor operating under the alias “grep,” the breach occurred in September 2024 and compromised 6 million rows of sensitive data.
The threat actor also included a sample from the alleged leak, stating that the data was breached by another threat actor under the alias “Chucky”. According to the sample, personal information of customers such as customer names, contact details, addresses, purchase histories and other personal details were released to malicious actors.
